Meet Sean Burlette - General Manager
Meet Sean Burlette, the General Manager of Grotto Downtown.
With over 13 years of experience with Landry’s, Burlette has worked every front-of-house position before becoming the General Manager. As a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, Burlette brings his beverage expertise to multiple bar programs across Landry’s concepts. His hospitality philosophy is based on his personal motto, “The answer is always yes!” Which reflects his deep commitment to making all guest experiences flawless.
Meet Katelynn Tejero - Sales & Events Manager
Meet Katelynn Tejero, the Sales and Events Manager for Grotto Downtown. With over 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Tejero brings a keen eye for detail and precise planning into every event. A proud University of Houston alumna, Tejero joined the Landry’s team in 2011. She excels at building lasting client relationships while providing exceptional events.
Meet Josh Oakes - Executive Chef
Meet Chef Josh Oakes, the Executive Chef of Grotto Downtown. Houston born and raised, Chef Oakes is an avid skater and loves to give back. While in school he majored in science, where he enjoyed the combination of ingredients and what they can turn into. He was on a path to pursue his major in applied mathematics but realized quickly that he was not happy. So he started a different path and entered the restaurant industry. Here he could use his love for science and create amazing tasting food.
Working in the Grotto Downtown kitchen allowed Chef Oakes to be creative and try new ways to express his love of food. He has no limits, “Hell Ya” is what you will hear from him, ready for that next challenge. On almost a nightly basis, his post shift meal when he gets home is crunchy peanut butter and jelly sandwich but he gives it a little extra flavor with HOT sauce, hotter the better!
